Don't hit people in the face, use the clips. Having big resolutions can be empowering, but smaller and well-clarified resolutions may be better if you want a narrow focus. I rushed over to help, but he tilted the bar down a bit, the weights slid off the side I was approaching from, and then the bar sprang up and almost hit me in the face as the weights on the other side sent that side crashing down to the ground. Just put the right amount of weight on the next time around. Getting stuck isn't an everyday thing, but it happens from time to time. "A little help here." should be all that's necessary. One theory outside of the 'resolutioner exodus' as to why these metrics are down is an increase of people not taking pictures and posting statuses of themselves at the gym. That said, if you ignore the advice and put too much on the bar and get stuck under it, don't panic. From January 15 to February 2 18 days there were 57,191 statuses made, a decrease of 8.59. Nobody is going to look your way and snicker at the low weight. Get the form right and add weight slowly. Don't lie to yourself, don't look at the dude two benches down doing 365 and think you need to up your game.
